VA Home Loan Common Myths
It takes a lot longer to buy a home with a VA mortgage.
FALSE! As a government-insured loan, VA mortgages do require some extra paperwork, but it’s some minor additional effort – as long as you’re working with a lender who knows and understands the VA mortgage process.
I already used my VA mortgage benefit, so I can’t use it again.
FALSE! There is no limit on the number of times a qualified servicemember can use their benefit. The amount of active entitlement is limited, but the experts at NHHF can analyze your current circumstances and provide guidance on your individual situation.
VA home loans are just for purchasing property, but I want to refinance to get a lower rate and/or take some cash out for home improvements or debt consolidation so I need to get a conventional mortgage.
